With more than twenty years of experience in private practice as a Gold Coast Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, and following extensive training and working in a number of southeast Queensland hospitals, Dr Cary is a proud specialist and devotee to obstetrics and gynaecology.
As a father of three, he understands both the trials and rewards of parenthood, and is committed to every partner’s journey into conception, pregnancy and delivery.
Dr Cary trained and worked at the Maters Mothers Hospital, the Royal Women’s Hospital, Ipswich Hospital and the Gold Coast Hospital, and he currently practices at and is the chairman of the Pindara Day Procedure Centre. He is particularly interested in high-risk obstetrics and antenatal care, and undertakes the following types of surgery, among others:
- IVF egg collection
- Complex embryo transfer
- Hysteroscopy and surgery of the endometrium (womb-lining)
- Laparoscopy
- Tubal Sterilisation
- Endometrial ablation
In 2000, Dr Cary and colleagues established Fertility Gold Coast, which is now known as Queensland Fertility Group.
Outside of the hospital, Dr Cary has also practiced as a lecturer and senior registrar in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom.
Dr Cary has had many medical appointments, including being a member and Treasurer of the Queensland State Committee of RANZCOG until 2001, the Chairman of the Medical Records Committee at Pindara Private Hospital until 2006, and being a member and Chairman of the the Patient Care Review Committee at Pindara Private Hospital from 1994 until now.
In his personal time, Dr Cary enjoys sport and leisure with his family, with a particular passion for golf and snow skiing.
