Breast cancer diagnoses continue to increase. Recent
Australian data have shown that the rates of diagnosis
of early forms of breast cancer in particular are on
the rise. Because these early forms of breast cancer
are very often treatable, a consequence of this
phenomenon is an ever-increasing number of women
who are living for many years of their lives with the
stigmata of their breast cancer treatment.
