The helm features joystick controls beside a conventional wheel and yet the bridge is designed to easily convert what’s often the skipper’s retreat to a fourth private bedroom complete with its own balcony – with a view over the cockpit lounge and transom deck. Out on the transom deck you can’t help but notice a massive doorway, which is in fact the engine room access. Adjacent there’s an even more massive hatch which lifts on hydraulic rams to reveal a garage door for a tender up to 3.2 metres long. Keith pointed out that extra space in the engine room ensures it serves equally well as a man cave cum workshop – besides containing a pair of massive Caterpillar C18 ACERT engines, a watermaker, a 22.5 KVA Onan gen set, a 5 kva inverter, and no less than six airconditioning units producing the impressive total of 130,000 BTU’s of heating or cooling to control the climate throughout the boat.
