Pindara Private Hospital Supports Ebola Appeal As the deadly Ebola virus spread rapidly through Sierra Leone, a desperate plea for assistance from the depths of West Africa was heard on the Gold Coast by the Reverend Fr Romanos who rallied the Holy Church of St. Anna to come to their rescue. In response to an appeal from the church, Pindara Private Hospital supplied much needed gloves and masks to be sent to the tiny country to combat the deadly virus. NEWS Archimandrite Fr Themistocles Adamopoulos of Freetown, Sierra Leone expressed his deepest gratitude on behalf of his people. “The contribution of the Gold Coast community both Orthodox and non-Orthodox has been inspirational in coming to our rescue especially now when we are increasingly forced into isolation from the rest of the world. The preventative items and other supplies which you are sending are essential in our front line battle with Ebola. They are part of our weaponry in the struggle.” Autumn 2015 pindaramagazine.com.au Pindara Magazine 9
