Opening Ceremony

After fifteen short months, Pindara Private Hospital’s long awaited $60 million Stage One redevelopment is now officially open for business, after Ramsay Chairman Paul Ramsay opened the new buildings on Wednesday, 8 December, at a ceremony held outside the new Specialist Suites centre.

Chris Rex, Ramsay CEO, also spoke at the event and said the redevelopment was a ‘new beginning’ for Pindara.

He said Ramsay Health Care was now focused on further developing Pindara to meet the needs of the doctors and the growing Gold Coast community and was looking forward to starting stage 2 following the purchase of land west of the hospital.

“I would hope we have the next stage out of the ground and built in the next two years,” Chris said.

“We have just opened the first stage but it gives us more confidence that we can develop further stages of this fantastic hospital.”

Mr Ramsay and Mr Rex toured the new facilities meeting patients, doctors and staff at the Pindara.
