Baby Friendly Health Initiative Accreditation

Pindara Private Hospital is currently in the process of achieving their Baby Friendly Health Initiative (BFHI) accreditation, an international initiative that aims to give every baby the very best start in life by creating a healthcare environment where breastfeeding is the norm and evidence-based practices known to promote the health and wellbeing of all babies and their mothers are followed.

Opening Ceremony

After fifteen short months, Pindara Private Hospital’s long awaited $60 million Stage One redevelopment is now officially open for business, after Ramsay Chairman Paul Ramsay opened the new buildings on Wednesday, 8 December, at a ceremony held outside the new Specialist Suites centre.

Stage 1 Redevelopment of Pindara Private Hospital is almost complete

The project commenced in August 2009 and has progressed without any major delays despite higher than average rainfall. The redevelopment adds 50 beds, four operating theatres, a dedicated endoscopy unit, a new 13 bed day oncology unit, 2 additional ICU beds, new Specialist Suites and a multi story car-park to Pindara; as well as much needed services including a fabulous new 13 bed children’s ward, for the benefit of the community.

Pindara Bulldozes into a New Future

The $60 million redevelopment of Pindara Private Hospital has begun with the demolition of the Hospital’s outer buildings now underway to allow for the construction of a multi storey carpark, specialist suites, four additional theatres and a 50 bed accommodation ward.
