Pindara Private Hospital is set to grow to a 316 bed private hospital next year, following a decision by Ramsay Health Care this week to commence the next stage of development at this premier Gold Coast hospital.
New mothers on the Gold Coast can recuperate in the lap of luxury at the luxurious Palazzo Versace, with the launch of the Pindara Palazzo Platinum Package - a new luxury postnatal support experience for mothers.
Finding a carpark space in and around a hospital has traditionally been a major headache for staff, doctors, patients and the public alike.
2011 sees Pindara Private Hospital enter its 40th year and an exciting new era of operation marked by the completion of the $60 million Stage 1 Redevelopment Project in December, 2010.
Pindara Private Hospital is currently in the process of achieving their Baby Friendly Health Initiative (BFHI) accreditation, an international initiative that aims to give every baby the very best start in life by creating a healthcare environment where breastfeeding is the norm and evidence-based practices known to promote the health and wellbeing of all babies and their mothers are followed.
A new era has begun for many specialists who have purchased rooms in the new Pindara Specialist Suites building.
After fifteen short months, Pindara Private Hospital’s long awaited $60 million Stage One redevelopment is now officially open for business, after Ramsay Chairman Paul Ramsay opened the new buildings on Wednesday, 8 December, at a ceremony held outside the new Specialist Suites centre.
The project commenced in August 2009 and has progressed without any major delays despite higher than average rainfall. The redevelopment adds 50 beds, four operating theatres, a dedicated endoscopy unit, a new 13 bed day oncology unit, 2 additional ICU beds, new Specialist Suites and a multi story car-park to Pindara; as well as much needed services including a fabulous new 13 bed children’s ward, for the benefit of the community.
The $60 million redevelopment of Pindara Private Hospital has begun with the demolition of the Hospital’s outer buildings now underway to allow for the construction of a multi storey carpark, specialist suites, four additional theatres and a 50 bed accommodation ward.
